  • "The CVP Student Colleague Program was different from others I had experienced. I was emotionally and financially supported by CVP and they were really connected with me the whole time. Everyone at my hospital site was very accepting and being new, regardless of being a student or not, is scary. You want to feel welcome; you don’t want to feel like you’re in the way or that you’re a burden, and I never felt that way as a CVP Student Colleague. The program was exceptional in many ways, but especially at Chippens Hill where I ..."

  • "When you first graduate, there is much more pressure and stress than anyone expects. Having gained the mentor relationship during my time as a CVP Student Colleague, I felt better prepared for what to expect after graduation. It’s not just about the medicine, but about the personal and emotional support and always having access to the guidance I needed when a challenge arose. Fostering those relationships made my post-grad experience very positive."

  • "I mainly used the self-guided resources available in the free Ginger app from CVP. I enjoyed all the different modules, and that the app would recommend different ones to me based on what I said I was interested in. Due to the busy schedule of being a vet student, it was nice to have something I could do to better my mental/emotional health that was quick and didn't have to be scheduled, and I’m grateful that CVP made this available to student colleagues."

  • "Being a CVP Student Ambassador, I felt like I had an advantage in the veterinary industry having had the opportunity to meet other vet students, and other CVP veterinarians and executives. It was a great way to connect with people in the industry and classmates at other vet schools as well. I think that one of the biggest things for me though, is that it helped me build confidence and reassured me that I wasn't alone in the veterinary world. People talk about how small the veterinary world is, but in reality, when you're a ..."
