We are pleased to partner with Boehringer Ingelheim for this October 2022 VetFuel.

This interactive presentation focuses on identifying and evaluating various components of increasing the profitability and value of an individual veterinary practice with the support of quality medicine and consistent messaging. The result is an action plan that each participant can implement immediately.

Learning Objectives:

Jack Karson, MA

Jack Karson, MA, is the president of South Beach Veterinary Solutions.

He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1983 with a master's degree in finance. For 15 years, Mr. Karson was the president and managing operating partner for Pet Medical Centers, which owned and operated more than a dozen successful veterinary businesses, including 9 veterinary hospitals, in South Florida. In 2016, Pet Medical Centers sold the hospital group at an industry record cash flow multiple. Pet Medical Centers had more than 300 employees and net income growth of more than 10% for 12 consecutive years.

Currently, Mr. Karson consults with veterinary clients throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. He founded and owns Vet Vacation CE, a travel destination continuing education company for veterinarians and technicians. He served on the board of Alliance Animal Health, which owns more than 50 veterinary hospitals. He also served as president of Fetch My Vet, a nationwide mobile veterinary company.

Before his veterinary industry experience, Mr. Karson was an executive at Bank of America and the chief operating officer of a $100 million food distribution company. He is a past president and mentor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami and has served on various not ­for-profit boards.
