Chair, Medical Advisory Board

Randy brings over 30 years of veterinary experience to his role as Chair of CVP’s Medical Advisory Board; where he is responsible for leading a group of CVP veterinarians that provide support and guidance to our community on matters related to the delivery of quality medical care. Active in practice, Randy currently leads the large animal group at Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, where he has a strong focus on equine medicine and surgery. In his free time, Randy enjoys playing ice hockey and spending time with his family which includes two dogs, two cats, and a horse.

Vice President of Marketing

Belinda leads the marketing team in support of CVP's family of hospitals and brings over 25 years of consumer, healthcare and retail marketing experience to her role, most notably working for brands such as MedExpress Urgent Care, Applebees and IKEA. When not at work, you can usually find Belinda spending time outside with her two sons, Kellen and Caden, husband Bernie and her beloved Cockapoo, Rocky.

Vice President of Professional Relations

Dr. Crum, DVM is a 2008 Auburn University Graduate with 15 years of small animal veterinary experience. She served as the Lead Veterinarian at Eastside Animal Hospital for over five years and was an active member of CVP’s Medical Advisory Board for four years before transitioning into her new role as VP of Professional Relations. She now supports our growing network of doctors and practice managers in areas such as elevating care, education, training, and more, while continuing to practice in her community.

Based in Southern Indiana, Dr. Crum and her husband of 12 years, Ryan, have three children, Claire, Malcolm, and Corinne— as well as a 14-year-old Yorkipoo, Milhouse, and a 2-year-old Golden Retriever, Walter.

Senior Hospital Marketing Manager

Carie brings a wealth of marketing experience in strategy, execution, analytics, and optimization across all channels. With impressive expertise across various industries such as healthcare, education, finance, automotive, and more, she excels at driving growth and delivering exceptional client experiences through cross-functional collaboration. When she's not working, Carie can be found spending time with her family, planning their next vacation, or taking long walks with her Bichon-Shih Tzu, Gibby.

Chief Financial Officer

Chris brings 16 years of experience in strategic financial leadership into his role as Chief Financial Officer. He has been the CFO for private equity-backed organizations such as MD Now Urgent Care and Women's Care, a leading national OB/GYN provider. He also led 1,000+ retail and franchise locations in North America in the vision care space as the CFO for Pearle Vision, Target Optical, & Sears Optical. He started his career with General Electric where he held a variety of senior leadership positions in their Aviation business unit.

Vice President, Human Resources

Dennis comes to CVP with over 25 years of Human Resources experience with high-growth organizations— most notably with brands such as T-Mobile, Five Below, and Party City. Dennis is a big-time foodie who loves to try new dishes and explore local restaurants. When not at work or eating, he spends time with family and roots for the New York Mets!

Vice President of Information Technology

Alice brings over 30 years of Information Technology experience and leadership to her role of VP of IT for CVP. Having spent her career at Johnson & Johnson, she is excited to join a new industry where there is great opportunity for new and robust technology development. Alice holds a BS in MIS and an MBA in Marketing from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. When not working, she and her husband Jim love to cheer on their favorite hockey team, the Philadelphia Flyers, escape to Hawaii, and try new restaurants in and around the Philadelphia area. They also share their home with 2 rescue cats, Piglet and Wheezy.

Chief Growth Officer

Ana leads business development, de novo strategy and overall strategic growth for CVP. Ana brings expansive experience driving growth in mature and start-up organizations, including leading business acquisitions, business integration, topline and bottom-line growth strategies, de-novo strategy and business operations, among others. When not at work, Ana loves traveling the world and spending time with her husband Joe, her children Kayla, Bennett and Emma, and their pup, Preston.

Senior Vice President of Hospitals and Operations Services

As Senior Vice President of Hospitals and Operations Services, Valerie applies her passion for scaling operational support as organizations evolve. Valerie brings 20+ years of multi-practice growth in human medicine from audiology, optometry, and pharmaceutical, along with global leadership experience from organizations like Abbot, Scripps, and GE. She’s passionate about supporting our people and our hospitals – knowing they deliver frontline care to our communities. Outside of CVP, she’s a lifelong equestrian, entrepreneur of franchised pre-schools, volunteer serving homeless and food-insecure populations, and mother of two active sons.

Chief Executive Officer

Health care industry veteran, Kevin Ruffe, is the CEO of Community Veterinary Partners. His primary focus at CVP is leading the company during our current critical period of growth. Before joining CVP, Kevin was the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at MedExpress, where he was responsible for all top-line growth and innovation plans. MedExpress grew from roughly 50 urgent care centers to more than 250 during his time there. Previously, he worked for Johnson & Johnson as worldwide vice president of information technology innovation and for Global Healthcare Exchange as COO.

Chair, Operations Advisory Board

As Chair of the Operations Advisory Board, Bob is responsible for leading a team of CVP veterinarians and practice managers in guiding our community through the implementation of operations best practices and innovative programs. Still a practicing veterinarian, Bob is the Chief Medical Officer at Animal Hospital of Dauphin County where he has been serving patients in various roles since 1979. An undergraduate from Penn State University, Bob received his DVM from Purdue University. His professional areas of interest include feline and canine medicine and surgery, ultrasound and low-level laser therapy.

Chief Operating Officer

An optometrist and long-time vision care industry leader, Jason’s primary focus is the advancement of the CVP operating model in support of delivering great care and taking care of our people. Before joining CVP, Jason was the Chief Medical Officer of Visionworks where he delivered double digit growth by elevating patient relationship management and increased effectiveness with a focus on patient access and quality care. Additionally, he led the retail teams that consisted of over 5,000 team members. Prior to VisionWorks, he was the senior leader for Luxottica Eye Care North America, supporting 2000+ locations and 3000+ doctors to deliver over 3 million exams per year. Jason loves the outdoors, especially sharing his adventures with his wife, children and their dog.
