Director of University Relations
Laura brings a lifelong commitment to the well-being of all creatures great and small to her role as director of University Relations with CVP. She is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals, a testament to her warm-hearted approach to providing quality care. She brings this same warm-hearted passion and commitment to the students she works with, who are just now beginning their careers in veterinary care. Laura came to CVP through our partnership with Eastside Animal Hospital, an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)-accredited hospital that was under her leadership since taking the reins from her uncle in the 1990s. Laura has been a respected member of VSG, Inc., and served as an IVMA officer for the 9th District. She is currently a member of the board of directors for MightyVet, an industry-specific nonprofit organization focused on “CPR for the veterinary soul.” When she is not engaged in the industry she loves, you may find her after a ride with her award-winning Saddlebreds, Stuart, Walter, Harley and Rocket, on her farm in Fisherville, Ky. Or with her playful young Dachshund and Doberman, named Jaco and Argo, and a cherished older Whippet named Sonni while relishing time spent with those dearest to her heart – husband David, son Michael and daughter Sarah.
