Jay Powers is our Chief Operating Officer at CVP, where he leads operations with a focus on strengthening culture, supporting growth, and empowering teams to deliver the best in veterinary care. He brings more than 15 years of multi-site healthcare experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Operations at Heartland Dental, where he supported more than 800 practices nationwide. His deep operational expertise, collaborative leadership style, and dedication to building strong cultures make him a natural fit for CVP’s mission.
Jay is inspired by CVP’s community-driven approach, where care for animals, doctors, and teams comes first. By aligning operational excellence with compassionate leadership, he helps ensure CVP hospitals are positioned to thrive, providing patients and families with meaningful care experiences.
Jay resides in Clayton, Missouri, with his wife Mireya, their three boys, and two beloved pets—Kiwi the Cavaco and Tum-Tum the cat. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his family, often cheering on or shuttling his sons to sports and activities across the Midwest.
